For generations, Ketza Pacific has poured more than just concrete — we’ve poured pride, precision, and family values into every project. From foundational work to final finishes, our legacy is rooted in the community, and our reputation stands the test of time. Trusted by neighbours and respected by partners for over 40 years, we don’t just build structures — we build relationships.
At Ketza Pacific, we offer a comprehensive range of contracting services tailored to meet the diverse needs of commercial, industrial, multi-family and government clients. From full-scale general contracting and construction management to specialized solutions like design-build construction and pre-engineered metal buildings, we bring expertise, precision, and reliability to every project.
Our services also include concrete formwork, placement and finishing, structural steel and frame buildings, and modular construction — all delivered with the efficiency and innovation our clients have come to trust. Our team of professionals are dedicated to building lasting relationships rooted in quality craftsmanship, community values, and a commitment to building it better.
Ketza’s preferred contractual arrangement is working under a stipulated price as a General Contractor, typically using a CCDC – 2 contract. Let us take the risk and deliver a successful project on time and on budget.
Ketza has successfully built commercial projects such as grocery stores, office buildings, sports centers, hotels & car dealerships.
Ketza is partnered with Butler Buildings, a premium Pre-engineered metal building manufacturer known for its high quality and unbeatable roofing & cladding systems.
Ketza also specialized in heavy industrial projects. We have built several workshops, completed pen stock projects, mines, waste water treatment and water treatment facilities & lift stations over the years.
Mixed use projects are typically residential condos over a commercial space. This typically has an underground parkade and a transfer slab between the commercial space and the above residential units. We have a lot of experience with these projects.
Ketza has extensive experience working with the Federal government on projects for the military, coast guard and various ministries.
Typically working under a CCDC5a/b contract, Ketza manages the project from the conceptual design phase throughout project completion.
Ketza has partnered with First Nations on numerous projects on Vancouver Island and remote communities throughout the west coast of Canada. Whether it is a run-of-river project for power production or a self-governance administration building, we can offer a wide range of services and solutions for First Nations.
Ketza self-performs all it’s own concrete work for our projects and works as a subcontractor for concrete scopes of any project. We specialize in parkades and complex industrial heavy formwork projects.
We have built several multi-family rental and condo projects. We also build out an average of 3 multi-family underground parkades per year as a concrete formwork subcontractor.
We have built several primary, secondary and post-secondary schools and worked on University projects in the past.
Ketza is an expert at delivering challenging projects in remote locations up and down the West Coast. Radar stations only accessible by helicopter or work sites where all materials are barged in are something we excel at.
Ketza’s journey began in the 1980’s, with its first project, the Ketza mine on the Ketza River near the Ketza Mountain in the Yukon. The company was first introduced to Vancouver Island in 1993 by Founder, Wayne Schofield, when building out the Campbell River Sportsplex. The Schofield Family relocated to the island in 1993 and has called it home ever since. This is where Ketza Pacific was first conceived as a company and continues to deliver to this day.
Two generations of Schofield’s have been born or raised in the North Island, and the company is permanently headquartered in Campbell River, where life is good.
Tyler is the President and Senior Estimator at Ketza Pacific, representing the second generation of the Schofield family in the construction industry. With over 20 years of hands-on experience, he began his career at the age of 15, working through a carpentry apprenticeship before pursuing post-secondary education in Architecture & Building Engineering at BCIT. After graduating, Tyler worked as a Project Manager, overseeing projects across a wide range of construction sectors. His depth of experience and industry insight naturally led him into the role of Senior Estimator, where he continues to shape project success from the earliest stages. Today, as President, Tyler brings both strategic leadership and technical expertise to every aspect of the company’s operations.
At Ketza Pacific, we believe in building more than just structures; we’re committed to strengthening the communities we work in. As proud supporters of local initiatives, we sponsor a range of organizations that reflect our values of teamwork, resilience, and community spirit. These include the Campbell River Salmon Foundation, local hockey teams, the U15 Crush volleyball team, and local curling teams. We’re dedicated to giving back to causes that promote youth development, environmental stewardship, and community well-being. Supporting these initiatives is just one of the ways we invest in the future of the communities we help build.
