Ketza has successfully completed 3 Radar Stations for the Canadian Coast Guard throughout the British Columbia Coast. The projects are located near Telegraph Cove, Sonora Island & Seymour Narrows.
Two of the projects were only accessible by helicopter. Mobilization of equipment & materials was done with Russian Military helicopters, the Ka-32 Kamov Heavy Lift helicopter. Crew transport to site and concrete pours were conducted via concrete bucket slung from an A-Star 350B2.
The project at Seymour Narrows was accessible by logging road and completed in 2022 along with Discovery Mountain. Safety Mountain was completed in 2021.
All projects were completed on time and on budget despite many weather days where the helicopters could not fly.
The project is part of a network of Radar Towers the Coast Guard is installing up and down the BC Coast to increase safety in our hazardous water ways.
